UDHAMPUR, May 12: Police arrested a drug peddler in Rehambal area and recovered 5.5 grams of heroin like substance from his possession.
According to Police, a team from Police Station Rehambal, while performing routine checking at Phalata Naka Point, stopped one motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AT-2301, coming from Jammu towards Udhampur.
On frisking, 5.50 grams of heroin like contraband substance was recovered from possession of the bike rider, identified as Mohd Rafiq, son of Mohd Shakeel of Hartyan, Udhampur. Police arrested the accused seized his bike as well as the recovered heroin.
In this connection, a case FIR under section 8/21/22/ NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Rehambal.
