POONCH, June 28: Sarpanchs and Panchs from entire Mandi block held protest demonstration at Mandi town and disrupted movement of traffic on the road.
They were demanding improvement of Mandi- Loran road, regular and un-interrupted water and power supply and granting of powers to Panchayats. Nearly 250 Panchayat members assembled at Dak Bangalow Mandi and then took out protest march. Then they blocked main road and sat on dharna.
They were shouting slogans against State Government and District Administration. They also raised slogans in support of their demands. The agitating Panchayat members gave ultimatum to the Government to accept their demands within two weeks of face the wrath of public.
