Srinagar, May 14: In compliance with court directives, police in Kulgam today affixed a GPS tracking device to a person who was granted bail under the jurisdiction of Police Station Qaimoh.
As per police, the accused had been arrested in connection with Case FIR No. 37/2019 under Sections 13, 16, 19, 20, 38, and 39 of the UA(P) Act, as well as Section 7/25 of the Arms Act, and was recently released on bail.
“The GPS anklet will be used to monitor the movement of the said accused person and ensure that he doesn’t violate the bail conditions,” stated the police.
