JAMMU, Mar 11: S K Sharma, General Manager (I/C-Projects) Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, Northern Region-II, inaugurated 784th ATM of J&K Bank at Kishenpur Near Manwal today.
The ATM was installed in the vicinity of POWER GRID establishment at Kishenpur.
With this the total number of ATMs installed in the Udhampur district has gone to 18.
With the installation of this ATM, people residing in and around villages namely Kishenpur, Jindrah, Kanyala, Darsoo, Korga, Sashnu, Bhatyari, Panjana and Bhatuna including mobile public in the area will also be benefited.
The ATM was inaugurated in presence of J&K Bank’s Vice President Zonal office North, Mohd Ibrahim Wani; Cluster Head Udhampur, Iqbal Singh; Branch Head Manwal, Susheel Kumar Sharma; Ranjan Bhola Chief Manager POWER GRID Kishenpur and others.
Speaking on the occasion, S K Sharma appreciated the role of J&K Bank in providing world-class banking facilities to people across the State. He said that ATM would definitely serve a large section of society in addition to the POWER GRID employees posted at Kishenpur, who had to cover long distances earlier for making such a transaction.
“POWER GRID is striving for providing power to all and similarly J&K Bank is serving to financially empower all. As such both are empowering organizations,” Mr Sharma said.
Mohd Ibrahim Wani said that the opening of ATMs reflected a strong commitment and desire of the bank to expand its reach to rural J&K and upgrade its quality of customer service in a cost effective manner.
