Srinagar, May 15: Floating Aqua Water Park on Dal Lake is fast emerging as a new favorite for locals and tourists alike this season.
The park is attracting a good number of people every day, who are seen enjoying this new addition to recreational activities, apart from the traditional Shikara rides.
“We are getting a good response from people as it’s a great addition to our previously introduced activities, including water zorbing and aqua cycling,” said Tahzeem, Manager of the Floating Aqua Water Park.
“We have water bodies that facilitate the effective functioning of these recreational activities. The park enables people to enjoy several activities, especially children, who can play games on the first-of-its-kind park in the valley.”
The park offers fun and excitement that people could not experience through Shikara rides, which are short, costly, and come with other risks.
However, the Aqua Park, which is new in Kashmir, enables people to walk on the water like never before.
The exciting scenes of people enjoying the park showcase the curiosity and fun involved, as it allows visitors to venture beyond the banks of the lake and feel the difference.
Regarding the charges and duration of the ride, Tahzeem stated that the park charges Rs 200 per person for a half-hour ride, noting that currently, it is running on a trial basis and is free of cost.
Safety measures are a top priority at the park. It is equipped with life jackets and has trained swimmers on standby to handle any emergencies.
It is to be noted here that an inflatable water park, like this one, combines an inflatable water slide, a water park, and a bouncy castle, transforming the experience of water-based entertainment.
While tourists are excited to explore the beauty of the lake in a different manner, locals are also pleased with the changes taking place.
