JAMMU, May 15: A shopkeeper was stabbed with a sharp-edged weapon here in City area late on Wednesday night.
One Shiv Lal Gupta, who runs a small kiosk at Chowk Chabutra area, was assaulted with a sharp-edged weapon by another person identified as Ashwani Beri of Pacca Danga Jammu over some issue, resulting in injuries to the former. He was immediately shifted to the hospital by a team of Police Station Pacca Danga led by SHO Pacca Danga Rakesh Singh, where his condition is stated to be stable.
While the accused has been arrested, a case under the relevant sections of the law has been registered against him at Pacca Danga Police Station and further investigation taken up.
Meanwhile, locals of Chowk Chabutra area have appreciated Jammu and Kashmir Police for immediate action in the matter.
