48 bovines rescued, 2 smugglers arrested

UDHAMPUR, May 15: Udhampur Police rescued 48 cattle from the clutches of two bovine smugglers at Tikri.
Reports said that a team of Police Post Tikri foiled two bovine smuggling bids, in which total 48 bovines were rescued from two smugglers who were taking these cattle by foot towards Kashmir valley.
Police arrested both the smugglers, identified as Mohd Fareed, son of Ab Gani, resident of Dharamkund, Ramban and Mohd Latief, son of Gh Hussain, resident of Javid Nagar Nikki Tawi, Jammu.
All the bovines were rescued and two FIR cases under relevant sections of law were registered in PS Rehambal.
