DODA, May 16: Police here today arrested two narcotic smugglers from Gandoh area and recovered 800-900 gm charas like substance from their possession.
Giving details in this regard Police sources said that cops from Police Station Gandoh while on patrolling and area domination duty in Alni area of Seru Kahaljugassar, Gandoh noticed two persons coming but the duo tried to flee after seeing cops and were apprehended.
On questioning they disclosed their names as Sardar Mohd, son of Shukar Din, resident of Seru, Shapriot, District Chamba (HP) and Hosiyar Singh, son of Parmatama Singh, resident of Sanwal, District Chamba (HP).
During their search Cannabis (Charas) like substance wrapped in polythene weighing about 800-900 gram was recovered.
A case in FIR number 56/2024 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered in this regard at Police Station Gandoh and investigation started.
