JAMMU, May 16: In a significant development, Gazetted Level Teaching/ Faculty or any other posts in the Health and Medical Education Department, have been excluded from the operation of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services Decentralization and Recruitment Act, for the purpose of engagement on academic arrangement basis in all the Government Medical Colleges of J&K.

This will pave the way for filling up unfilled posts in Government Medical Colleges across J&K, on the academic arrangement basis.
A notification in this regard was issued today by the General Administration Department (GAD), according to which, such categories of posts, as may be identified as the Health & Medical Education Department from time to time, for the purpose of engagement on academic arrangement basis under the provisions of Jammu and Kashmir Medical and Dental Education rules 2020, are hereby excluded from the operation of J&K Civil Services Decentralization & Recruitment Act.
However, this shall subject to the condition that such posts have been advertised at least once during the last five years and remained unfilled, further read the notification.
