Brick kiln owners for assessment of loss

JAMMU, Mar 11: The Brick Kiln Association has expressed shock over the damage caused to the brick kilns of the region due to heavy rains that lashed the Jammu region for last two days.
In a statement issued here, today Prabhu Dayal Gupta general secretary of the Association said that the brick kilns have suffered a heavy loss due to rains as it was the season for backing the bricks and entire raw material used for the same has been damaged due to heavy rains.
He said raw molding of bricks which were kept in brick kilns have been damaged in entire Jammu region and brick kiln owners have suffered a heavy loss worth crores of rupees.
Mr Gupta in an appeal to Government has urged it to assess the loss by constituting a team of officers and provide compensation to brick kin owners.
