GCoE conducts mental health awareness prog in various schools

JAMMU, May 18: The NSS volunteers of the Government College of Education (GCoE) Jammu organized mental health awareness programme in Government Middle School Rehari, Government Girls Higher Secondary School Nawabad, Government High School Toph Sherkhaniyan.
The teacher, pupils and NSS volunteers highlighted the importance of mental well-being and how to handle stress at every stage of life under the guidance of Principal of GCoE Dr Jyoti Parihar, who appreciated the efforts of the students for focusing on such an important issue.
Dr Shubhra Jamwal emphasised how mental health has become an international issue these days and said, “we always talk about the ways to maintain physical health but we rarely talk about the mental issues and volunteers of GCoE have taken a lead in this regard”.
Prof Sarita Dogra, NSS PO, Dr Kiran Thappa, Prof Roopa Kumari and Prof Suraj Prakash were also present during the programme.
