e-bus service between Jammu-Udhampur, Katra starts

JAMMU, May 18: The much awaited air-conditioned environment friendly e-buses have today started their services between Jammu-Udhampur and Jammu-Katra.
Five such buses moved for each of these routes, sources informed adding that the service of e-buses for Kathua is already in operation for the last about one week.
“It was a toll issue at toll plaza as we have to install Fastag over these buses for which I had issued an authorization letter and the e-bus service has started today to Udhampur and Katra cities,” CEO of Jammu Smart City Limited (JSCL), Rahul Yadav informed.
Sources informed that the e-buses running between Jammu-Udhampur and Katra are big buses of 12 metre length with high back seats and seating capacity of 34 passengers per vehicle and these are being run by JSCL.
These e-buses left Bus Stand Jammu for Katra and Udhampur at 6.30 am today.
About 75 e-buses are already running intra-city in Jammu.
