JAMMU, May 20: With an aim to promote the Dogri Language among the children of various schools, Dogri Organizations Group for Responsive Actions (DOGRA) today announced to organise a Dogri event ‘Dogri Nibandh Pratiyogita’.
The event will be spread over for two months starting from the 1st Sunday of September 2024 till 1st Sunday of Nov 2024.
The details in this regard were provided by Dr. Kasturi Lal, Managing Director DOGRA and Chairman Sr. Citizens SS Club in presence of Harish Kaila, President of Nami Dogri Sanstha, Yash Pal Yash, General Secretary and Sushil Bhola, social activist,
The event will be conducted in two phases, Phase 1st will be in schools whereas Phase 2nd will be conducted at DOGRA Hall, Chowadi.
Phase 1st will commence in September 2024 in which in-house competitions will be held at the school level. Top 25 students of each school will participate out of which the first four winners will be selected.
A team of judges under Directors Dr. Sudhir Mahajan, Jayesh Gupta, social activist, Rajneesh Gupta, Director Viraj Kala Kendra will supervise the events in schools.
In Phase 2nd, four selected students from each school will compete with the winners of other schools centrally at the DOGRA Hall, Chowadi.
Special anchors will conduct this event which will run till 1st Sunday of November 2024.
Selection of anchors and media coverage will be done by Directors Dr. Vijay Sharma, former Technical Officer, Doordarshan, Surinder Mahajan, former President, Raghunath Bazar Shopkeeper Association and Sanjay Rohmetra from Viraj Kala Kendra.
Naresh Langer and Ashok Khajuria, Kailash Langar, Patron, Ashok Gupta, President and Maj Gen SK Sharma, AVSM, General Secretary, all from Sr. Citizens SS Club and also members of the Board of Directors DOGRA were also present during the function.
