JAMMU, May 21: Former Minister, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today submitted a memorandum to LG through ADC Billawar highlighting the burning issues of Billawar area.
The memorandum said that summers are on its peak and temperature has risen exponentially making it difficult for people. Instead of giving more power supply, PDD has resorted to unscheduled long power curtailments up to 4-5 hours, making total power cut both scheduled and unscheduled of approximately 10-12 hours in 24 hours thus causing inconvenience to the masses .
The memorandum said instead of giving uninterrupted continuous power supply in this scorching heat, PDD is giving 12 hours of power cut.
“If there is no light then water supply is not released on that particular day. These days when Summer is at peak, the power curtailment has been increased which directly affect the water supply.
