Coordination Committees to be constituted soon: Soz

JAMMU, Mar 13: Prof Saif -ud-Din Soz, MP and former Union Minister, (President JKPCC) today addressed the party workers at Congress Bhawan Shahidi Chowk Jammu and exhorted them to gird up their loins and work hard for party in Jammu Poonch and Udhampur Lok Sabha constituencies.
He told the party cadres that they should be seen more in the field for the success of Congress party which has already rendered good service to the people and intends to put in their best efforts in the service of the people.
He told the senior party functionaries and workers to remain in touch with the party headquarters at Shahidi Chowk where he (Prof Soz) would set up a Control Room very shortly. He told them to put in their best efforts for the success of party candidates and their sincere efforts would speak for themselves.
He further told the party workers that there is no substitute for hard work. Prof Soz also informed the party workers that he would announce soon campaign and other committees including the coordination committees that would be required to maintain the close liaison with the National Conference.
Meanwhile, Prof Soz has urged the State administration to provide all possible help to the people badly affected by snowfall and rains and also restore essentials services like water and electricity.
In a press statement issued here today, the PCC chief said, “Kashmir Valley and higher reaches of Jammu province have experienced heavy snowfall  and that too, in March  which is known in the history as the month when the spring arrives  and the almonds and other trees bloom all over. Since, I was in Srinagar, I can understand people’s problems well how they have suffered for electric supply, drinking water  and other basic amenities of life,’’ he added.
The PCC leader further said that many Government servants extended a helping hand to the suffering public  while others failed to do so in some areas. It is on such trying occasions that the muscles of administration are tested best. Expressing his anguish on the death of many people during these rains, house collapse and avalanche incidents, Prof Soz urged the State Administration to rise to the occasion and provide the needed facilities to the people. He said that the damage of all kind of properties must be assessed properly and compensation offered at the earliest.
