JAMMU, May 22: Dr Sheetal Singh, a prominent Surgeon and former Principal Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar passed away today at his Trikuta Nagar residence.
He was 80 and is survived by his wife Dr Supinder Kour and two daughters, both doctors, one of them in the United States.
Dr Sheetal Singh, originally a resident of Kana Hama in Baramulla district was settled in Jammu.
He suffered cardiac arrest at his residence.
Dr Sheetal Singh, a philanthropist, was active till his death conducting surgeries at his Lochan Nursing Home.
Family said day and timing of cremation will be decided tomorrow as one of the daughters of Dr Sheetal Singh has to return from abroad.
