JAMMU, May 22: FICCI FLO JKL in collaboration with SMVD Narayana Superspecialty Hospital organized a comprehensive health camp in Purkhoo. The camp was part of FICCI FLO JKL’s ‘Har Ghar Swasth’ initiative, aimed at providing affordable healthcare to rural areas.
Over 200 people from rural areas participated in the health camp and received expert medical diagnosis, check-up and free medicines.
Ruchika Gupta, Chairperson FICCI FLO JKL interacted with the participants and urged them to come forward to avail the beneficial healthcare schemes being offered by the government.
The health camp offered specialized services in orthopaedics, ophthalmology and general medicine. Specialist doctors from Narayana Super Specialty Hospital prescribed necessary medicines, which were then distributed free of cost to the patients.
A highlight of the camp was the deployment of state-of-the-art Volvo medical bus from Narayana Hospital, equipped with facilities of X-ray, ECG and blood testing.
Patients were also educated about Ayushman Bharat scheme, which provides free health services like joint replacements, cataract surgeries and cochlear implants. Several patients needing cataract surgery were identified and were scheduled for free procedures at Narayana.
FICCI FLO JKL members demonstrating their dedication to such cause included Varuna Anand, Sona Mehta, treasurer, Pooja Gandotra, joint treasurer, Mona Saraf, executive secretary, Nandita Bajaj, joint secretary, Tripti Khajuria and Neha Mahajan.
Rajni Devi, Sarpanch of the village thanked FICCI FLO JKL team and Narayana Hospital for organizing the health camp.
