KISHTWAR, May 23: In a tragic road accident here today a vehicle plunged into a deep gorge at Margam Top area in Warwan valley leaving the two persons on board dead on the spot.
Police sources informed that the vehicle of Mahindra Pickup make bearing registration number JK03M-3594 was carrying some items from Anantnag to Warwan for sale purpose.
The deceased were identified as Mohd Aslam, 24, son of Mohd Ayub Pathan, resident of Matti Goran, Anantnag and Imtiyaz Ahmed, 39, son of Abdul Rashid, resident of Kabran, Anantnag.
Immediately after the accident local along with district administration officials and Police reached the spot for rescue and recovery operation.
Bodies of the deceased were retrieved from the gorge and were shifted to hospital for post-mortem and were later on handed over to the family members for last rites.
Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
