NEW DELHI, Mar 14: The Supreme Court will hear on March 28 a PIL seeking court monitored probe into the INS Sindhuratana mishap.
The petitioner has also urged the Supreme Court to direct the Government to pay a compensation of Rs 1 crore each to the families of the two navy officers killed in the mishap on board the Indian Navy submarine on February 26.
The petition was mentioned today before the court for urgent hearing.
The petitioner has also alleged that the mishap occurred due to lack of proper maintenance and the responsibilities must be fixed. (UNI)
