JAMMU, May 24: A former Sarpanch and his colleague were booked by the Police in Akhnoor area here for allegedly misbehaving with police personnel and stopping them from discharging their duty.
Shamsher Singh (ex-Sarpanch) and his colleague were booked after they pushed some police personnel who had stopped a vehicle belonging to an acquaintance of the former Panchayat representative at a naka in Akhnoor, SHO Akhnoor, Inspector Tariq Ahmed said.
While the accused have been arrested, police have started further investigation into the matter.
