Sudarshan installs 5 quintals of mango in sand sculpture for voting awareness at Puri beach

PURI, May 24 : On the occasion of 6th phase of voting in the country on Saturday, Padma Shri awardee sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has created a huge installation voting awareness sand sculpture with the message “Your Vote Your Voice “, at Puri beach in Odisha.
Sudarsan has created a sand sculpture on 2000 sq ft area to spread awareness on voting with the message” “Chunab ka Parba, Desh ka Garv”.
He used around 5 quintals of mangoes on it and took about 5 hours to complete the sculpture. The students of his institute joined hands to complete the sand sculpture.

The sand artist said since mangoes are favourite for all people during the summer, he had used mangoes in the sand sculpture to attract the voters to participate in the voting on May 25.

So far Padma award winning artist Sudarsan has participated in more than 65 International sand art competitions and festivals around the World and won many prizes for the country.

His sand sculptures have generated awareness on, HIV/AIDS, COVID-19, Voter awareness, Beat plastic pollution, Save environment,Global warming and Terrorism. (UNI)
