DODA, May 24: Police here today organised a special traffic awareness drive in Gandoh area which was led by SDPO Gandoh and SHO Gandoh, Inspector Parvaiz Khanday.
In this awareness programme, drivers of buses and mini-buses were urged to install CCTV cameras in their vehicles for enhanced safety measures.
Additionally, helpline numbers for reporting traffic violations were prominently displayed in passenger vehicles while the passengers were also briefed on identifying and reporting violations like overloading and reckless driving.
Aim of the drive was to promote adherence to traffic regulations and ensure the safety of all road users.
It is pertinent to mention here that District Police Doda has been organizing a number of awareness programmes throughout the District against traffic violations in order to avoid road accidents.
