JAMMU, May 24: Activists of Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir (MSJK) here today under the leadership of their president, Sunil Dimple staged a protest demonstration against PDD.
The protesters raised slogans against the failure of PDD billing system, unscheduled power curtailment and fluctuation in electricity.
Addressing protestors, Sunil Dimple demanded that LG Manoj Sinha should correct the PDD.
He warned mass agitation soon against the failure of the billing system and unscheduled power curtailment.
Dimple alleged that after privatization of PDD and after the installation of smart meters, there is anarchy in the PDD.
He said that poor families are getting power bills of high amount, consumers are depositing money online but there is no record with the consumers and there is also no receipt for the deposited money online.
Dimple urged upon J&K LG, Manoj Sinha to hold a CBI enquiry into the wrong doings in PDD.
He demanded return of J&K’s Salal and Uri power projects back.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Raju Kumar, Sanjay Sethi, Sudershan Sharma, Dev Raj, Kasturi Lal and others.
