8 injured in road mishaps

SRINAGAR, Mar 14: Eight persons were injured in different road traffic accidents across the Valley.
A police spokesman said two persons were injured after a Maruti car, JK01P/3083, rammed into a tree at Nambal, Awantipora in Pulwama district. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
A pedestrian Mohammad Iqbal Shah of Tiker at Tiker was injured when a Maruti car, JK01G/4236, hit and injured him in Trehgam, Kupwara. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment, the spokesman said.
Four passengers, including Rubeena wife of Mohammad Rafiq, Hajra wife of Abdul Rashid Malik, Zoona wife of Shabir Bhat and Mohammad Rafiq Khan son of Majnoon of Parray-Pora, Kalaroos, Kupwara were injured when a Tata Sumo, JK09/3963, they were travelling in skidded off the road at Zangli near Forest Check post in Kupwara. All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital, Kupwara for treatment, he said.
A woman, Gulshana Bano wife of Abdul Aziz Malik resident of Watnad, Anantnag, was injured when a Tavera vehicle, JK12/6312, skidded off the road at Buchoo, Kokernag in the district. The injured lady was shifted to hospital for treatment.
The spokesman said police has registered cases in these accidents.
