SAMBA, May 25: One person died after hit by a train near Vijaypur Railway Station in Samba district today.
According to the information received, on Saturday evening, a Gareeb Rath train on way from Samba to Jammu crushed a man near Gurha Morh Railway gate falling in Vijaypur Railway Station. He died on spot. His identity could not be ascertained.
Railway Police officials reached the spot, took the body in their custody and kept it in the mortuary of Vijaypur Hospital, but the body could not be identified. Railway Police are now trying to find out whether he was travelling in a train or was roaming near the railway track.
After taking cognizance of the matter, Railway Police have started further investigation.
