Chemistry paper missing row: PRF urges police to register case, BOSE for action against employees

JAMMU, Mar 14: Public Rights Forum (PRF) today urged the Police Department to register a case against the persons involved in the missing of the Chemistry paper of a 12th class student of SP Smart Higher Secondary School, Bari Brahmana.
Addressing a press conference, members of the forum Adarsh Kumar, Amit Datta and Abhimanyu Partap said that Avinash Jamwal, a class 12th student of SP Smart Higher Secondary School, Bari Brahmana having roll number 864796 attended the Chemistry paper on March 10 at its allotted centre—Sher-e-Kashmir Higher Secondary School, Bari Brahmana.
After completing the paper and submitting the answer sheet to the Superintendent, the student along with his mother left for his home.
After sometime, Avinash received a call and the man calling said that his Chemistry paper is missing and demanded money for settling the issue, they said.
“Superintendent along with other staff appointed at the examination centre and Principal of the institution are demanding money from in lieu of smooth conduct of Avinash’s papers”, they told.
Superintendent of the centre has lodged a complaint alleging that Avinash Jamwal fled from the examination centre along with the answer sheet, they said, adding that the family members also lodged a complaint regarding the staff deputed at the centre.
Police should register a case against the persons involved in the racket of spoiling the future of youngsters by offering and facilitating them cheating and copying during exams, they demanded.
They also demanded that BOSE must also take action against its employees involved in the case who have not exercised their duty diligently. Board must cancel the affiliation of the Sher-e-Kashmir HS School involved in the case.
BOSE authorities must take necessary steps to save the future of the Avinash Jamwal and at the same time change Avinash’s examination centre so that he can give the remaining exams without fear, they added.
