Workshop on Role of Physiotherapy in Hemophilia held at SMGS Hospital

JAMMU, May 26: Department of Pediatrics, GMC Jammu, in collaboration with Indian Academy of Pediatrics City Branch Jammu, organized a workshop on Role of Physiotherapy in Hemophilia at SMGS Hospital Jammu.
On this occasion, the organizing chairperson Dr Ghanshyam Saini, Professor & HoD Pediatrics GMC Jammu, spoke about Hemophilia-Current Landscape in Jammu.
Dr Diksha Sarwan, Hemophilia Physiotherapist from CMC Ludhiana, delivered a talk on Role of Physiotherapy in Hemophilia and conducted the Physiotherapy workshop. She along with Antima Physiotherapist, Department of Pediatrics, held the Physiotherapy consultation camp for hemophilia patients also.
Organising co-Chairperson Dr Sunil Dutt Sharma; Dr J B Singh, Professor Medicine; Dr Shazia, Professor Medicine; Dr Mohd Razaq, Dr Anuj Bhatti and Dr Ravi Parihar from Department of Pediatrics chaired the sessions.
Dr Dara Singh Medical Superintendent, SMGS Hospital and Dr Rakesh Sharma, Dy Medical Supdt, were also present on the occasion.
In the evening session, CME on “Jammu Hemophilia Update 2024” was held wherein eminent and renowned guest faculty, including Dr Subhash Bhardwaj, Prof and Head Pathology GMC Jammu; Dr Bilal Ahmad Sheikh, Professor and Head Pathology GMC Srinagar; Dr Vijay Choudhary from CMCH Ludhiana deliberated on various aspects and latest developments in the field of Hemophilia.
Experts from Jammu, including Dr K Koul, former HoD Pathology; Dr N K Pargal, Dr S S Slathia, Dr G S Saini, Dr Ravinder K Gupta Prof & Head ASCOMS, Dr Kewal Samotra, Dr Mahesh Gupta, Dr K R Sangra, Dr Sanjeev K Digra, and Dr Rajesh Koul chaired various sessions.
Organising Secretary for the event, Sanjeev Kumar Digra, Professor Pediatrics, GMC Jammu delivered the vote of thanks.
