JAMMU, May 27: Two individuals briefly halted the Shri Shakti Express at Jammu Railway Station today by sitting on the tracks, protesting train cancellations and poor communication about schedules.
As the train arrived from New Delhi, a young man and his female relative sat on track number one out of frustration.
Officials reported that the train stopped momentarily before police detained the protestors, allowing the train to resume after a brief delay.
A relative explained their action was driven by extreme frustration.
“We’ve been stranded in Jammu and Kashmir for days due to train cancellations. Despite asking for updates, we received no information. With temperatures over 42 degrees Celsius, we reached our breaking point,” she said, admitting the protest was a mistake.
The protestors were registered with a case and later released.
