JAMMU, May 28: The latest position and progress regarding coming Zesht Ashtami festival within Kheer Bhawani Tulmulla, Manzgam, Khanbarni Devsar, Tikker and Logripora was revived by Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri through video conferencing with concerned development commissioners and representatives of various organisations managing Hindu shrines in Valley led by Kiran Wattal convenor, Mata Kheer Bhawani Ji Yatra Welfare Society (MKBJYWS) today.
The issues deliberated included cleaning of ladies bathing ghats, Installation of German Hanger water proof tentage , installing of water 2HP pumps, vacation of building for Nagdandi Ashram for storing materials , housing lady activists, senior citizens, service crew, restoring of flood lights , adequate water connections, adequate accommodation for Yatris, living halls for yatris, sanitation and sufficient medical care and other facilities within temple premises.
Divisional Commissioner urged all District Development Commissioners and other concerned departmental heads to ensure smooth conduct of the forthcoming yatra and directed that all arrangements are completed at the earliest so that the yatris do not face problems on any account.
He also advised Tourism Department for installing hoarding and wide publicity of the yatra.
He advised DC Ganderbal for sufficient bedding and providing of sufficient Blankets to yatris.
Kiran Wattal convenor MKBJYWS complimented the Divisional Commissioner and all District Development Commissioners, for action on war footing who assured that all facilities shall be ready in all respects and the works shall start from tomorrow only.
The representatives of all the management committees requested Divisional Commissioner that all concerned Deputy Commissioners should form a WhatsApp group to coordinate with the yatra committees and particular Kiran Wattal who has been assigned responsibility of chief coordinator of the yatra. The committees also requested that on arrival of the yatris to their respective places some higher authorities should receive yatris.
