JAMMU, May 28: Police in Jammu District claimed today they have arrested two individuals with 7-8 grams of heroin-like-substance.
A police official said that during routine patrolling, a team of Police Post Canal Road, Jammu, headed by incharge Police Post, noticed two suspects near 4th Tawi Bridge.
He said on seeing the police party, the suspects tried to escape but they were overpowered and identified as Sunny Mehra of Ward number 10, near Hotel Hill Top, Katra, Reasi, and Parvesh Malhotra of Puran Nagar, Talab Tillo, Jammu.
On search of the duo, he said, 7-8 grams of heroin-like-substance was recovered.
Accordingly, they have been booked in case FIR number 82/2024 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Nowabad and further investigation taken up.
