Four smugglers held, 78 bovines rescued

RAMBAN, May 28: Under the supervision of SSP Ramban, Anuj Kumar, Police foiled bovine smuggling attempts and registered four FIRs, arrested four bovine smugglers, rescued 78 bovines and seized four vehicles involved in the crime.
Cops from Police Station Chanderkote led by SHO Inspector J.S Rakwal intercepted two vehicles and during their checking found 16 bovines loaded in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally towards Kashmir. Two persons were arrested in this case.
In another instance, cops from Police Station Ramban led by SHO Inspector Vijay Kotwal intercepted two vehicles and during their checking found 62 bovines loaded in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally towards Kashmir. Two persons were arrested in this case.
Police has registered cases in FIR Nos. 77/2024 and 78/2024 at Police Station Chanderkote and in FIR Nos. 121/2024 and 122/2024 at Police Station Ramban, under relevant Sections of law and started investigation.
