RAMBAN, May 29: Cyber Cell of Police here today solved an online financial fraud case involving Rs. 27,000.
Police sources informed that a complaint was received from one Tawseef Ahmed, son of Ghlam Mohd Wani, resident of Alinbass, Pogal Paristan in which he stated that he received a link from Instagram App regarding purchase of double-door refrigerator, cold drinks, juice and water bottles from a company ‘Spelko Agrotech Pvt Ltd’ and after continuously sending money to the tune of Rs. 27000 he learnt that it was a fraud.
During investigation Cyber Cell DPO Ramban acted swiftly and ultimately recovered the defrauded money amounting to Rs. 27000.
SSP Ramban, Anuj Kumar has appealed to the general public to remain extra vigilant and promptly report any suspicious online activities at National Helpline No. 1930 or lodge cyber complaints online at www.cybercrime.gov.in
