BHADERWAH May 29: Taking cognizance of the media reports about plight of poor parents having three minor children sufferings from a rare skin disease, Secretary Health and Medical Education Department (H&ME), Syed Abid Shah directed a team of doctors and paramedical staff led by BMO Bhaderwah, Dr. Ashraf Kuchay to reach out to the children in Thanhala Panchayat of Bhadarwah to examine the kids at their place.
The minors are suffering from rare disease, Lamellar Icthyosis and the doctors assured their parents for all the help for specialised treatment at Jammu, Srinagar or Delhi.
BMO Bhaderwah said they have been directed by Secretary H&ME and DC Doda to provide all the required help to the children.
“The kids suffering from the disease will be taken to GMC Doda and thereafter to SKIMS Soura or GMC Jammu for specialised treatment,” the BMO said.
“We also held a counselling session for the parents of the kids and their neighbours and informed them that it was not a communicable disease so they should not panic,” the BMO maintained.
