JAMMU, May 30: J&K Government has re-constituted Screening Committee for registration of Kashmiri Migrants.
Headed by Administrative Secretary, Home Department, the committee shall register bonafide migrants who have migrated due to threat to them or to their families, after fulfillment of all necessary formalities laid down by the Government for registration of these migrants, from time to time.
Further, the committee shall dispose off the applications for registration on case to case basis, on consideration of the threat perception/verification report of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and by the District Magistrate of the concerned district.
Comprising ADGP CID, J&K, Administrative Secretary, Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation & Reconstruction, Divisional Commissioner Jammu/Kashmir as members and Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner (M), J&K as the Member Secretary, the committee shall meet on quarterly basis.
