2 bodies recovered in Samba

SAMBA, May 30: Three people including a young girl have died at different places in Samba. According to the information received, a girl died in a road accident in Samba while two other dead bodies were found under suspicious circumstances.
Police said a truck and a motorcycle collided near Hanuman temple in the Barian area of Samba in which the two persons riding the motorcycle were seriously injured. With the help of local people, both the injured were taken to Vijaypur Hospital where the girl who was the pillion rider succumbed to her injuries and the injured is undergoing treatment in Vijaypur Hospital.
The deceased girl has been identified as 25-year-old Simi, daughter of Billa and the injured person has been identified as Amit Kumar, son of Kewal Krishan, both residents of Dagore, Samba.
Meanwhile, panic gripped when the body of a person was found from a parked truck in Nud Bazaar of Samba. The local people informed the police about this. The police immediately rushed to the spot and brought the body to the District Hospital Samba where the doctor conducted the post-mortem and handed over the body to the family. The deceased was the driver of the truck who has been identified as Farooq Ahmad, son of Abdul Ahad Mir resident of Kashmir.
Another dead body was found under suspicious circumstances on the banks of Basantar river near Chichi Mata temple of Samba on Jammu Pathankot National Highway. The body was sent to the mortuary of District Hospital Samba by police. The deceased youth has been identified as 27-year-old Sukhdev Raj, son of Prem Nath resident of Tanth, Nud, district Samba. After the post-mortem in the District Hospital, the body has been handed over to the family for the last rites. In this context, the police have started further investigation in all the cases.
