UDHAMPUR, May 31: Panic gripped Pachound area in Latti Marothi after a wild bear mauled a man, here this morning.
According to the reports, the victim was going to graze his goats and sheeps in the forest area near village Pachound when a bear suddenly attack him.
Some locals took the injured man to PHC Latti for treatment. He was identified as Chuni Lal, son of Ganga Ram of Pachound No. 1 (Banjer) near Bali Bridge.
The incident has triggered panic among the villagers who have appealed the Wildlife Department to act promptly and take required action.
