KOLKATA, Mar 17: Asserting that BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi was a true leader, Bollywood singer-turned-candidate Babul Supriyo today said he wished to play a small role in steering country’s development under Modi.
“The wonder that has been done in Gujarat under Narendra Modi can be replicated all over the nation only under Modi’s leadership,” Supriyo, the BJP candidate from Asansol Lok Sabha seat, said.
When inquired about his prospect, Supriyo said, “I am confident about my victory.”
“I don’t want to make any tall promises. I just wish to give a patient hearing to the problems in the area and would try to solve them,” he said.
“I would consider myself lucky if I am able to play a very small role in country’s development under Modiji’s leadership,” he said. (PTI)
