JAMMU, June 3: The Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Department has allocated different districts among the Law Officers (LOs), who will assist the Advocate General, J&K in dealing with the Habeas-Corpus cases.
As per an order, Mubashir Majid Malik, Deputy Advocate General, has been allocated Kulgam and Shopian districts and Mubeen Wani, Deputy Advocate General, has been allocated Anantnag, Kupwara and Ganderbal districts.
The order further said that Illyas Nazir Laway, Government Advocate, has been allocated Bandipora and Pulwama districts while Jehangir Ahmad Dar, Government Advocate, has been allocated Baramulla, Srinagar and Budgam districts.
As far as Jammu Wing of the High Court is concerned, Additional Advocate General Rajesh Thapa has been allocated Jammu, Samba and Rajouri districts, and Deputy Advocate General Pawan Dev Singh has been allocated Poonch and Doda districts.
While Government Advocate Bhanu Jasrotia will look after the Habeas-Corpus cases of Kishtwar district Government Advocate Sumeet Bhatia will look after these cases in Udhampur and Kathua districts.
Meanwhile, in partial modification of a previous Government order, the Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Department has also ordered that the Litigation Work of Jal Shakti Department and Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) in the Central Administrative Tribunal’s Jammu Bench shall be dealt with Deputy Advocate Generals Dewakar Sharma and Hunar Gupta, in addition to their own assignments.
