Woman drug peddler’s property worth Rs 30 lakh seized

JAMMU, June 3: Police claimed to have seized the property of a woman drug peddler worth Rs 30 lakh in Resham Ghar Colony area here.
A property acquired by one Sudesha Kumari through the proceeds of the drug trafficking has been seized under Operation Sanjeevani in Resham Ghar Colony area, said a police spokesperson.
He said Kumari acquired huge wealth through the illegal trafficking of drugs, primarily targeting the youth.
According to him, the accused woman had been earlier booked in case FIR number 205/2020 under sections 8(A)/21/22 NDPS Act and a case FIR number 41/2024 under section 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar Jammu.
“Today’s seizure is a clear message that the Jammu and Kashmir Police will not tolerate drug peddling and will take stringent actions against those involved in such illicit activities. The police is determined to root out the drug menace from the society and will continue to target and dismantle these criminal networks,” he said.
