Moscow, June 7 : Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin has signed a resolution to hold the second international BRICS+ Fashion Summit in the Russian capital in October, documents of the city government’s presidium have shown.
“The Moscow City government will support hosting the second international BRICS+ Fashion Summit forum, which is planned to take place in October 2024. A resolution regarding the issue has been signed by Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin,” the documents showed on Thursday.
More than 80 countries have given preliminary consent to participate in the forum, according to the documents. The forum will take place as part of Moscow Fashion Week.
“The program of the ‘Fashion Summit’ will include a professional showroom, plenary discussions, lectures, thematic film screening and business meetings. Closed presentations of collections of Moscow, Russian and foreign brands will also take place,” the documents read.
The forum events will be held at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall, Zaryadye Park and other museum and exhibition sites in Moscow, the documents showed. (Agencies)
