JAMMU, Mar 19: High Court today restrained Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (M) and Assistant Commissioner (Camps), Relief Organization Jammu from making allotment of two room tenements at Jagti Township.
The direction was passed by Justice Tashi Rabstan in a petition filed by Veer Zadu and others. The High Court also issued notices to Commissioner/Secretary Revenue, Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner (M) Jammu and Assistant Commissioner (Camps) Relief Organization Jammu returnable within two weeks.
In the petition, it has been submitted that after migration they were formally registered as Kashmiri migrants and were allotted one room tenement at Nagrota Camp. The respondents after verifications recommended the names of the petitioners for allotment but instead of making allotments to them, the respondents were allotting tenements to non camps migrants and other persons.
