GOA, June 8: The World Business Conclave 2024, a prestigious event celebrating excellence and innovation, took place at Goan Heritage, Goa, with the theme “Beyond Borders.” Organized by the Global Triumph Foundation and supported by The Business Ascent, Image Planet, and the School of Allied Health Sciences, the event was a resounding success, bringing together influential leaders and visionaries from various industries.
This year, two remarkable women were honoured for their significant achievements. Varuna Anand, sole proprietor of the Splendor of Kashmir, was awarded for “outstanding contribution in women empowerment,” recognizing her relentless efforts to uplift and empower women through her initiatives. Varsha Bansal, CEO of Four A Resorts, Grand Plaza Lords INN, received the accolade for “women entrepreneur of the Year,” celebrating her exceptional leadership and entrepreneurial spirit in the hospitality industry.
The chief guest for the event was Rohan Ashok Khaunte, Minister for Tourism, IT, E&C, Printing and Stationery, Government of Goa,. The awards were presented by Hema Sardasai, acclaimed Bollywood and Hollywood playback singer. In a notable moment, Varsha Bansal accepted the award on behalf of Varuna Anand, in addition to receiving her own.
The event featured a line up of distinguished speakers who shared their insights and experiences, contributing to the event’s theme “Beyond Borders.” Among the speakers were Dr. John Yesudhas, Tech Farming Expert and Tedx Speaker, Founder & CEO of IGO Group, who provided valuable perspectives on technological advancements in agriculture. Sibasish Mishra, Founder & CEO of Bookingjini, discussed innovative approaches in the travel and tourism sector. Dr. Sameer Kuncoliekar, Founder of PROFIT 365, offered insights into financial strategies for business growth.
Varsha Bansal, besides being an award recipient, also played a crucial role as a panellist in the panel discussion titled “Beyond Borders: Exploring Global Perspectives.” She eloquently expressed her views on the topic, emphasizing its relevance to the hotel industry.
