SRINAGAR : The 300-km-long Srinagar-Jammu national highway was closed yet again due to landslides early this morning.
A traffic police official said the highway, connecting the valley with the rest of the country, was closed for traffic following heavy landslides at Penthal and other places.
The Border Road Organisation (BRO), responsible for the maintenance of the highway has pressed into service men and machine to clear the landslides.
He said no vehicle has been allowed on the highway. Today, the traffic was to ply from Jammu to Srinagar. (AGENCIES)
