JAMMU, June 10: Principal Sessions Judge Bhaderwah Amarjeet Singh Langeh today rejected the bail application of Moulvi namely Mohd Sharief Lone, who allegedly solemnized the marriage of minor.
After hearing both the sides, the court said, “there is prima facie evidence regarding involvement of petitioner in the abetment/ intentional aid in offences alleged against principle accused. All these offences are heinous and the alleged victim is a minor”.
“Release of petitioner on bail at this stage therefore shall not only hamper the ongoing investigation qua antecedents of petitioner and principle accused but it will also end up in diminishing the faith of public at large in the process and execution of law in the circumstances like those in the case in hand”, court added.
