Tony demands more schemes for enhancing farmers’ income

R S PURA, June 12: Taranjit Singh Tony, DDC member Suchetgarh today urged the government to launch more schemes for the farmers to enhance their income.
Addressing during a function, Tony emphasized today that the prosperity of the rural economy hinges on the upliftment of farmers across the country.
He was speaking after inaugurating the Custom Hiring Center during a programme organized by the Agriculture Department under the Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP) in the village of Bidhipur Jatta, RS Pura.
The event marked the establishment of a Custom Hiring Center, aimed at providing agricultural equipment to farmers on a subsidy basis.
Tony also highlighted the objective of the HADP’s initiative, which is to make agricultural equipment available to farmers at subsidized rates through the establishment of Custom Hiring Centers.
He assured that efforts would continue to ensure that similar centers in other villages also receive subsidized agricultural equipment in the coming days.
Expressing his longstanding commitment to the welfare of farmers, Tony reiterated his efforts to bring the benefits of various agricultural schemes to every village.
Deputy District Agriculture Officer Surendra Gupta, addressing the gathering, reiterated that under the HADP, the Custom Hiring Centers would continue to provide subsidized agricultural equipment to farmers, thereby supporting their farming activities.
Among others who were present during the function included Surinder Gupta, SDAO, Vaishno Dev AEO, Parsem Choudhary AEA, Amit Gupta JAEO and Ashish Sharma AEA.
