JAMMU, June 12: Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) under the leadership of its president, Th. Gulchain Singh Charak has requested for a meeting with PM Modi to discuss pressing issues affecting Jammu region.
Extending congratulations to PM Modi on successful formation of NDA-3 Government, Charak wished him a successful and prosperous five-year tenure leading Bharat to new heights and glory.
Charak wished to bring attention of PM to some pressing issues facing Jammu region.
“Subjected to deprivation under the past regimes, Jammu continues to suffer despite landmark developments such as the new rail and road connectivity to Katra and Kashmir. These projects have inadvertently deprived Jammu of traditional pilgrimage and tourist footfall, leading to severe economic downturns affecting trade, business and transport services,” Charak stated in a handout.
He sought time from PM Modi to highlight the present urgent issues and said that a detailed memorandum outlining these concerns will be submitted once the Government has settled and departmental appointments are finalized.
