JAMMU, June 13: Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) and Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for affiliation of courses in Entrepreneurship Development, fostering innovation and entrepreneurial skills among students in the region.
The MoU was signed at Cluster University of Jammu and the signatories were Rajinder Kumar Sharma, Director JKEDI and Ankur Mahajan, Registrar CLUJ, in presence of Prof Bechan Lal, Vice-Chancellor of CLUJ.
Speaking on the occasion, Director JKEDI expressed: “By affiliating our courses with Cluster University Jammu, we aim to provide our students with quality education and the necessary skills to succeed in the entrepreneurial landscape. The budding graduates from the institutions could play a key role in technological up-gradation, innovation and competitiveness of an industry. Both institutions believe that close co-operation between the two would be of major benefit to the student community to enhance their skills and knowledge with regard to entrepreneurship, Innovation and Startup.”
Vice Chancellor, CLUJ said, “This collaboration aligns with our vision of fostering innovation and providing our students with opportunities that prepare them for the dynamic business environment. We look forward to a fruitful association that will benefit both our institutions and the students.”
The major highlights of the MoU are to ensure a robust academic framework and standardized curriculum. Besides, the MoU shall focus on Curriculum Development, Faculty Exchange and Training, Student Benefits and Research and Innovation.
On the occasion, a discussion regarding affiliation with the CLUJ for Post Graduate courses in entrepreneurship development was held. The modalities are being worked out and shall be finalised in due course of time, so that the students enrolled in entrepreneurship development courses will have access to resources from both JKEDI and CLUJ, including libraries, research facilities, and incubation centers, fostering a comprehensive learning environment.
Both institutions will collaborate on faculty development programs, including workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance teaching methodologies and subject expertise. The partnership will promote research initiatives in entrepreneurship development, encouraging students and faculty to undertake innovative projects and contribute to the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
