Rashly driven mini-bus collides head-on with truck, 13 passengers injured

UDHAMPUR, Mar 21: Thirteen passengers were injured, when a rashly driven mini-bus they were traveling in collided head-on with a truck near Karni Pahadi, falling under the jurisdiction of Majalta police station.
As per police sources, a rashly driven mini-bus bearing registration number JK14C-5275 was on its way to Manwal from Nagrota Khoon, when the driver lost control over the steering and rammed the vehicle into the truck bearing registration number PB06G-9451 near Karni Pahadi coming from opposite direction. Negligent driving by the driver of the mini-bus was the reason behind the accident, which resulted into injuries to 13 passengers.
On getting information, police and locals rushed to the spot and started rescue operation. All the injured were shifted to hospital in police and other vehicles, where their condition was stated to be stable, when last reports came in.
The injured have been identified as Joginder Kumar, son of Munshi Ram of Patti, Shakuntla, wife of Satish Kumar of Garnai, district Udhampur, Priksha, daughter of Inderjeet Singh of Baby, Majalta, Shama Devi, wife of Kuldeep Kumar of Damha, Sheela Devi, wife of Baldev Singh of Ghar Pamasta, Madhu Devi, daughter of Devi Singh of Sayl, Anisha, daughter of Suresh Kumar of Kakraha, Bhajan Singh, son of Shanker Singh of Satrari, Sushma Devi, wife of Bhajan Singh of Satrari, Shandi, wife of late Shukar Din of Bryalta, Santosh Devi, wife of Darshan Chand, Sushma Devi, wife of Raj Kumar and Paras Ram, son of Shanku Ram.
The vehicles have been seized and a case under FIR number 18/14 under Section 279 and 337 RPC has been registered at Majalta police station.
Manhunt has been launched to the arrest the absconding drivers of the vehicles, who fled from the spot after committing the offence.
However, no arrest has been made till reports compiled.
