Born on May 19, 1990 in Kangra in Himachal Pradesh in Kashmiri Pandit family, Siddharth Kaul is an Indian cricketer, who plays for Punjab in domestic cricket. He is a right-arm medium pace bowler and a right-handed lower-order batsman. Son of a reputed cricket coach, Tej Kaul, Siddharth made his First Class debut against Orissa on December 17, 2007 and took 5 wickets in the very first innings. He finished with the figures of 5/97. He has played played 22 First Class matches till date and has taken 71 wickets with a best spell of 6/63. He was selected for Under-19 World Cup 2008 in Malaysia, which India won convincingly. He was the major contributor in that World Cup as he took 10 wickets at an average of just 15.40. He also made his List A debut in 2009 against Delhi na has so far taken 42 wickets in 25 List A matches played by him. He has also represented Punjab in Under-15, Under-17 and Under-19 Levels. Kaul is among those players who were awarded IPL contract after 2008 World Cup. He was signed by KKR in 2008, but has mainly played for Delhi Dartedevils since 2010. He brother, Uday Kaul is also a wicketkeeper batsman, who plays for Punjab in domestic cricket. His father Tej Kaul has also represented Jammu and Kashmir in Ranji Trophy in 1970’s. Siddharth is a talented young medium pace bowler and bowls with good speed and decent line and length.
