JAMMU, June 15: The Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) has demonstrated remarkable progress in the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) Global 2000 list.
AcSIR is ranked 9th in India and globally it has moved up from rank 866 (in 2023) to 798 (in 2024) among the 20,966 ranked institutions, making it one of the top 3 percent institutions in the world.
As per reports, the 2024 CWUR rankings analyzed 62 million data points across four critical factors namely quality of education, employability, quality of faculty, and research.
“We are thrilled to see AcSIR’s efforts getting recognized at the global level. This improvement is a testament to relentless pursuit of scientific innovation and academic excellence of our students and faculty,” said Prof Manoj K Dhar, Director, AcSIR. He expressed gratitude to Dr Jitendra Singh, Minister of Science and Technology; Chancellor, AcSIR; Director General, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR); Director General, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Members of AcSIR Board of Governors, AcSIR Senate and Board of Studies, for patronage and continuous support and guidance. He gave credit for this stupendous achievement to all the faculty members of AcSIR and students for conducting cutting edge research and the excellent output in the form of high impact publications, patents and technologies.
AcSIR was established in 2012 as an Institution of National Importance dedicated to high-quality education and research in frontier areas of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), particularly in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary fields. AcSIR functions on a unique “hub and spoke” model with AcSIR Headquarters in Ghaziabad (Delhi-NCR) representing the hub (involved in centralized functioning of academics and administration) and 82 AcSIR affiliated research institutes (including 38 CSIR labs, 28 ICMR institutes, and reputed R&D Institutes) represent the spokes acting as academic campuses.
